Who did Emily Maynard pick on the Bachelorette after ending things with ex-fiance Brad Womack? T

EMILY Maynard picked Jeff Holm on season eight of The Bachelorette.

The two were together after the show but the romance fizzled.

Here is more about the reality TV star.

Who is Emily Maynard?

Emily was on Season 15 of The Bachelor on her quest for love.

Brad Womack, a second-time Bachelor, proposed to Emily at the end of the show and picked her over runner-up Chantal O'Brien.

"You're so much more to me than a leap of faith. You're the one. You're my once in a lifetime," he said to her on the episode.

“I'm asking you to give me your forever. Please let me be your best friend, let me protect you and your beautiful daughter and please give me the opportunity to love you for the rest of your life," he added.

Emily was a single mom who lost her fiance in a plane crash in 2004.

Her daughter, Josephine Ricki Riddick was born before she got to meet her father.

"I've dealt with a lot of tragedy in my life, I did the show and that brought on a lot of anxiety," Emily told WCCB News in January.

"I've been very open with a lot of the things I've dealt with in my life," she said.

What happened to Emily Maynard and Brad Womack?

The couple split three months after the Season 15 finale aired.

Back in 2011, the former couple revealed to People magazine that the pair faced troubles after their season finished.

"Though we are madly in love, it has been a bumpy couple of months for us and our priority right now is to focus on our relationship," Emily and Brad said in a statement to People magazine.

They went on to explain how their relationship was plagued with issues.

"It hasn't been a fairy tale," Brad said. "We were facing a lot of adversity."

"There have been numerous times where either she or I have said, 'To hell with it. It's just too difficult,' " he continued.

"We've thrown in the towel, broken up. But at end of every day I'd call and say, 'I know you might not like me today, but I love you.'"

"We'd break up at night and then in the morning we'd forget about it," Emily added.

Emily was concerned about the authenticity of their relationship and faced jealousy when they rewatched their season as a couple.

"He had a tendency to say the same thing to a couple girls," she said.

"So I felt less and less special. I get that it's a show. But it's still hard. You're not sure what's real and what's reality TV."

What happened with Emily on the Bachelorette?

Emily starred in season eight of the spin-off series where she got to sort through the men and pick her favorite at the end of the show.

She chose Jef Holm at the end and accepted his proposal.

They were together for a few months and ended their relationship in October 2012.

What is Emily doing now?

After her failed engagement to Jeff, Emily went on to marry her hometown friend Tyler Johnson in 2014.

The two welcomed two children together, Jennings Tyler and Gibson Kyle.

On August 29, 2017, they announced that they were expecting their third child, Gatlin Avery.

She chronicles her life's ups and downs in her new book, “I Said Yes: My Story of Heartbreak, Redemption and True Love.”

She told Good Morning America that the book describes saying “yes” not just to Tyler, but to God.

In her book, Emily opens up about some of the dark episodes in her life, including an apparent suicide attempt when she was 15 years old.

Ultimately, she confesses that she has no regrets of participating in the two shows.

“I would just be scared that, like, if I didn't do [the shows], maybe I wouldn't have met Tyler and I wouldn't be here. So I wouldn't have changed anything,” she said.
