Budding fashionista North West is only 10 years old but she’s served countless looks already thanks to her father Kanye’s wardrobe archive.

The Kardashians‘ Christmas Eve party saw the clan pull out all the stops in glistening gold and sparkling silver frocks. While the ladies went full glam, North West kept it casual in an embellished jacket that looked familiar to Kanye West and fashion fans. North, 10, dove into her father’s closet archives for his iconic Met Gala 2016 look. Do we dare say North pulled it off better than the rapper? It’s a family fashion showdown.

Kanye’s 2004 MTV TRL appearance

During an August 2023 trip to Japan, North wore a vibrant orange and blue striped long-sleeve that was nearly identical to the shirt Ye wore on MTV‘s TRL in 2004 to promote his debut album, The College Dropout. West layered his Ralph Lauren top with a green and white striped shirt while North paired it with a simply white button-up underneath.

It’s unknown if North is wearing the original pullover but we wouldn’t be surprised given Kim’s endless racks of clothing in storage.

Kanye’s Met Gala 2016 blingy jacket

Not every 10-year-old can wear a designer jacket, let alone a designer jacket that has been to the Met Gala. For the Kardashian 2023 Christmas party, North wore Ye’s Balmain coat embroidered with stones and pearls. She paired the silver custom jacket with a stack of diamond necklaces and all-white trousers and a turtleneck. She was definitely the warmest member of the family that night.

Blue varsity jacket 2008

North stepped out with Kim Kardashian in Paris in July 2022. The mother-daughter duo were a colorful pair as Kim wore a skintight neon green outfit by Balenciaga. North, meanwhile, opted for Ye’s blue varsity jacket with black accessories and trousers. We’re not a fan of her Balenciaga Crocs-like platforms though.

The Gold Digger rapper sported the coat first at the American Music Awards 2008. He must’ve really loved the outfit because he’s flashing a smile.

Full leather suit

Kim and North both more monochromatic looks to support Kanye at his Sunday Service gospel event at Paris Fashion Week in March 2020. Then seven-year-old North wore a black leather blazer with matching baggy trousers. She kept warm in a grey knit sweater and kept it age-appropriate with fun space buns and stick-on hair charms.

Ye wore a similar leather suit just one month earlier at the February 2020 Vanity Fair Oscar Party. He accessorized with a thick chain necklace and brown boots.
