Amazon’s competition of the fashion designers, Making the Cut, returned to screens on 16 July with its second season along with a brand new judging panel. With last season having contestants facing a whole host of different judges, this year has seen a change with just two – Winnie Harlow and Jeremy Scott.

Amazon has revealed, however, that there will be a couple of guest judges joining Winnie and Jeremy along the way in a bid to find the winner of the $1 million prize.

So who exactly can we expect to see on the show?

Winnie Harlow

Fashion model and spokesperson Winnie Harlow will be joining this season’s judging panel to give her expert advice from the fashion industry. From walking at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion show to modelling for some of fashions biggest names including Fendi and Marc Jacobs, Harlow has made quite a name for herself.

Winnie first rose to prominence following her appearance as a contestant on the TV show, America’s Next Top Model in 2014. Despite not winning her cycle of the show, Winnie has come to be one of the most successful contestants in America’s Next Top Model history.

Although Winnie has experienced much fame and success throughout her career so far, she has struggled due to the bullying received over her skin condition, Vitiligo.

Diagnosed at the age of 4, the disorder creates white patches that appear across the body. Despite struggling with this, the 26-year-old Jamaican-Canadian model has learnt to embrace her differences and use this to further her career.

Jeremy Scott

American fashion designer and creative director of Moschino, Jeremy Scott, is renowned in the fashion industry for his unusual and unique designs. Taking inspiration from Thierry Mugler for his kitschy designs and Jeremy’s love of sci-fi style clothing, Jeremy has created his own sometimes outrageous style within the fashion industry.

From homelessness to high fashion, Jeremy built his career from the ground up. Moving from Kansas City to Paris in 1996, Jeremy went to pursue his dreams of becoming a fashion designer with nothing but the clothes on his back.

Today, 45-year-old Jeremy has worked with an array of famous faces including Beyonce, Rihanna and Madonna and created many collections both with Moschino and through collaborations with brands such as Adidas and Longchamp.

Season 2 guest judges

Amazon has announced Prabal Gurung and Shiona Turini will be joining this season as guest judges to give their fashion expert advice and criticisms to contestants.

Born in Singapore but raised in Nepal, Prabal Gurung is a fashion designer currently based in New York City. Launching his first line in 2009, Prabal’s line is now sold in over 20 countries. Specialising in womenswear, Prabal has worked with well-known faces including Michelle Obama and Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton.

This season’s second guest judge, Shiona Turini is a costume designer and stylist. Having collaborated with huge fashion and jewellery brands including La Mer, Tods and Tiffany & Co, Shiona has made quite the mark in her now decade-long career.

Where to watch season 2

Two new episodes will be released every week on Amazon Prime Video from Friday 16 July. The series will include a total of 8 episodes, with the seasons grand finale airing on 6 August where the winner will be awarded with a $1 million prize.
