Reading crash: Two injured cops & medic pulled from mangled wreckage after police van and ambulance
SHOCKING footage shows two cops and a paramedic being pulled from a mangled wreckage after a police vehicle collided with an ambulance.
The two emergency vehicles smashed into each other at around 6.30pm yesterday in Reading, with the three injured rushed to hospital.
Gobsmacked bystanders watched on as injured cops and an ambulance crew were lifted from the pile-up.
Photos from the scene show a crumpled ambulance car embedded nose-first in the side of a badly damaged police van which was flipped over.
The overturned police vehicle was seen with its wheels sticking in the air next to a set of traffic lights in the town centre.
Both emergency vehicles were responding to 999 calls before the crash.

The driver and passenger in the marked police Vauxhall Vivaro, and the driver of the marked ambulance Skoda, received minor injuries.
The casualties have been taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital for treatment, where they remain.
No other vehicles or pedestrians were involved in the collision.
Southampton Street, Crown Street and Pell Street were closed while cops carried out enquiries.

Drivers were advised to "avoid the area" following the incident.
A tweet by Thames Valley Police Reading said: “Police officers and ambulance staff have been taken to hospital.
"Motorists should avoid the area as the road will be closed for some time.”
