Trace Adkins House Burns Down
Country music star Trace Adkins lost his Brentwood home in a house fire Saturday afternoon.
The 5000-square-foot Millsford Court home the singer shares with his wife of 14 years, Rhonda Adkins, and three daughters is a “total loss” following the fire which started while two of the children, ages 6 and 9, were at home with houseguests who were looking after them. Everyone, including family pets, made it out safely.
Adkins was on a flight headed to Alaska to perform, and his wife was 10 minutes from home, on her way back from a trip to Atlanta when the blaze started around 3:35 p.m.
All of the family’s possessions, including Adkins music awards were destroyed.
“You can replace things, not people. I’m just glad that my children are safe,” said Rhonda Adkins.
“Trace wishes to express his gratitude for the immediate response of the Brentwood Fire Department and is humbled by the outpouring of concern from friends and fans,” said Adkins spokeswoman Tiffany Shipp.
Adkins is scheduled to perform at the CMA Music Festival at LP Field in Nashville next Saturday night.
